How to pay electricity bill using mpesa

Steps Pay to Kenya Power (KPLC) Bill using Lipa na M-Pesa paybill number 888888

Go to M-Pesa menu, select “Lipa na M-Pesa”
Select “Paybill”
Select “Enter business no.” and enter the KPLC postpaid Lipa na M-Pesa paybill number 888888 and press “OK”
Select “Enter account no” i.e. Kenya Power account number and press “OK”
Enter amount between KSh 100 and 35,000 and press “OK”
Enter M-Pesa PIN and press “OK”
Confirm all the details are correct and press OK
You will receive a confirmation SMS from M-Pesa immediately.
Please note that it takes 48 hours for Kenya Power (KPLC) to update your account
